Chemistry Adds Haley Sandvoss to the Team!
Chemistry PR and Multimedia founder and managing consultant Chris Kuban is passionate about the PR industry. He is also passionate about young people who make PR their chosen career path. Offering internships to students of the industry is just one way Chris enjoys helping them traverse the road from academics to the real-world application of the knowledge and skills needed to experience success in PR. Recently we met Haley Sandvoss and invited her to be our 2019 summer intern. I’ll let Haley tell you more about herself.
“During my four years at MBU, I did it all. I came on an athletics scholarship for cheerleading, where I was captain for 3 years and enjoyed competing all 4 years. I was involved in 2 choral groups while at school, singing in Chorale and the selected auditioned group Chamber Singers. I was also involved in our theatre department where I performed 4 times on our large stage in our Chapel. I was the leader of the school Food Service Committee. This committee consisted of faculty and staff members and one student. That was me!
Relating to my broadcast and journalism side, I worked on the tech crew for the Spartan Digital Network, where we live streamed our games and I got to record them on camera and run graphics from time to time. I was also a news anchor and scriptwriter for our Timeline Broadcast, where I spoke behind the news desk. I also got to write the weekly news and sports scripts each week by researching and interviewing for information. I conducted more interviews while working as a staff journalist for the university’s online news site. That was where I got to conduct interviews and shoot my own photos for stories to be published to our site.
In the future, I hope to pursue a career working for Disney World. Getting to do their public relations work and help run their social media and advertising for their company would be a dream job for me. I strive to be creative, determined and organized with my work and hope all my hard work here at Chemistry PR and Multimedia this summer will benefit my future career. I have no doubt that learning to use one of these funny machines Chris has all over the place is going to propel my career somehow. Don’t you think?
In all of my free time – which is a bit more since classes are finished – I tendto be working at Texas Roadhouse part-time as a server. When I’m not at the downtown office of Chemistry PR and Multimedia or serving customers delicious steaks, I am creating outfits for my fashion blog on Instagram, @Daily_ Haleys. This is where I have fun, create outfits and blog about myself and what I am up to at the time.”
