Chemistry PR & Multimedia Celebrates 15 Years
In the grand scheme of possibilities, helping clients become more successful is the primary goal of Chemistry PR & Multimedia. Led by its founder Chris Kuban, the company is now celebrating 15 years in business in 2024.
When the economy became challenging with the recession of 2009, Kuban began Chemistry out of his home while working as an independent contractor. Earliest clients included authors and individual experts. The agency had a turning point when it landed the St. Louis City Firefighters as a client. From there, Kuban’s notable clients began to include the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in New York and the Gary Sinise Foundation in Los Angeles.
By 2019, the business was taking on additional clients and outgrew Kuban’s home office. In February of that year, he purchased a 3-story historic property in Benton Park and spent the following year renovating the facility to include a video studio, recording studio, editing suites and cooperative working environment.
The pandemic proved challenging, as it did for many businesses, as national clients cut back on marketing efforts. Local companies, however, helped keep the agency busy as Kuban landed clients ranging from Nestle Purina to the St. Louis Art Museum and Logan University. Chris and the team displayed a creative ability to shift communication and marketing models for these clients to a ‘new normal’ that the times required. This is where his traditional PR Firm exploded into the multimedia space, specializing in visual storytelling.
Today, Kuban and the team at Chemistry PR & Multimedia are excited to count the Missouri Forest Products Association among its clients. Projects will include developing statewide educational campaigns, TV commercials, and influencer strategy campaigns to reach Missourians on the importance of carefully managing the forest by harvesting mature trees to create a range of beautiful, durable, and sustainable products, including hardwood floors, furniture, railroad ties, oak whiskey barrels, pallets, and more!
Looking back on the last 15 years, Kuban says, “Chemistry PR & Multimedia was always a dream – a dream to think creatively and be bold, maybe even strike out, to build an agency.”
Today, Chemistry continues to grow and is ranked as one of the Best PR Firms in St. Louis and Best Marketing Firms in St. Louis by Small Business Monthly magazine. Chemistry’s non-traditional business model includes a team of 11 diverse and experienced employees and consultants who effectively manage campaigns that represent our clients in their overall goals.
While based in St. Louis, Missouri, this small company has produced big results for organizations from Los Angeles to New York, Tampa to Seattle, and hundreds of cities in between.
