Chemistry PR and Multimedia seeks an exceptional Videographer and Editor. Are you searching for a new gig that gives you the ability to showcase your creativity across multiple facets of Video production? Bring your curiosity, enthusiasm and collaborative attitude to our team!

We offer in-house and on-site video and podcasting capabilities – that include a fully functional, state-of-the-art grip truck built out in 2025 – to service a diverse book of clients in non-profit, association, foundation, and Fortune 100 corporate sectors.

Essential Functions:

  • Edit rough and final video and podcasts
  • Coordinate and direct video shoots when needed (Primary cameras used:Canon C80, C300 Mark II, R5 and DJI RS3 Pro)
  • Organize media, video projects, and deliverables.
  • Contribute creative ideas while understanding the big picture.
  • Input music, dialogue, graphics, and effects to various pieces.
  • Work on multiple projects with deadlines.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and clients to complete projects.
  • Communicate regularly with the talent and supervisors to receive notes and adjust production as required.
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.
  • Embrace the opportunity to jump into company projects enthusiastically, as well as different roles and duties when the team needs assistance.

Qualifications:
We will consider relevant experience or education to stand in for the following qualifications:

  • 5-7 years editing experience creating all forms of video content (long-form, short-form video content, 30-second commercials, social media reels)
  • Newsroom experience and/or lead wedding videography /editing experience preferred.
  • High degree of attention to detail, specifically when handling multiple video projects, versioning, and receiving feedback from project owners.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take ownership of all facets of a project while exhibiting a positive, solution-based attitude.
  • Expert in video editing software, including Adobe Creative Suite video products (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
  • Knowledge and understanding of camera equipment to assist on projects, specifically Canon C80, C300 Mark II and R5.
  • Excellent project management, oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with motion applications (After Effects & Audition) and standard design applications.
  • Experience with Streamyard Podcast editing software.
  • Experience with original brand content and/or vertical video a plus.

Other requirements:

  • Ability to travel when needed for client projects.

Our Video Production Intern will provide hands-on assistance to the video production team.  These tasks may include assisting with video shoots as a stagehand on a variety of assignments, categorizing video clips and establishing rough cuts of client video projects. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Be responsible for inventorying and packing video production equipment and other supplies as needed for each video production job.
  • Accompany our video production team on assignment. Availability is key for this candidate as shoots will be scheduled at various times.
  • Attend and assist the production team for in-house shoots as needed.
  • Keep equipment clean and stored in an organized manner when not in use.
  • Communicate equipment and repair needs to our leadership.
  • Continue the education process of lighting and shooting on various projects.

Skills and Qualifications

Industry knowledge: A working knowledge of video production. Some working knowledge of marketing and media communications is helpful.  

Computer literacy: Knowledge of basic editing and video production related software. Our intern will organize and coordinate video content that editors will easily access and complete their work on.

Time management and organization: Conscientiousness about arriving on-site or in-house studio on time. 

Customer service: Professional conversation skills and abilities, along with a desire to help team members and clients work through problems.

Communication: Ability to communicate well with clients, prospects and team members. Video production environments can be high stress, face-paced and energetic. Communication skills are important in this environment. 

Problem solving: Use critical and creative thinking to identify and resolve issues with equipment and production techniques. 

Education and Experience Requirements

Our ideal intern will be 

  • Enrolled in or recently completed an academic program focused on video production or multi-media production. 
  • Basic knowledge of electronic components; cables, media connectors, etc. 
  • Familiar with professional camera and audio equipment. 
  • Able to speak, write and understand English and can communicate effectively.

Bonus points if they have experience with setting up and tearing down video production equipment.

Think you’re a good fit? Your Core Responsibilities would be:

  • Assist in the creation of clear, accurate and compelling news copy
  • Understand how social media and traditional media work together
  • Assist Sr-level PR consultant in developing, executing, and delivering successful public relations campaigns
  • Demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness in identifying media to pitch, and in creating effective client stories
  • Suggest ideas for maximizing opportunities on social media
  • Develop a solid and comprehensive understanding of our firm’s strategy
  • Help develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure a positive experience with the firm
  • Assist with – and independently develop inventive, effective campaign initiatives for clients
  • Actively participate in video projects as coordinator, videographer, interviewer and other roles
  • Embrace the opportunity to actively jump into company projects, as well as different roles and duties when company needs assistance

Our Next PR/Marketing Intern will have

  • Completed (or near completed) a degree program in Public Relations, Communications, or related studies
  • Excellent project management and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional news writing, editing and proofreading abilities
  • Track record of media pitching and placement
  • Accrued skill for writing copy and distributing pitches, news releases social posts, etc.
  • Keen sense of resourcefulness for learning and using media-centric CRM databases and similar software
  • Some experience with monitoring and media database tools is preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, Google Suite, and social media management software

Our next PR/Marketing Intern needs to be available for a minimum of 20 or more hours per week and can travel between the office and on location assignments as required.
