Chemistry PR & Multimedia Founder Chris Kuban Embarks on U.S. Navy Adventure Ahead of His 50th Birthday

At Chemistry PR & Multimedia, we celebrate milestones, and this week, our Founder and CEO, Chris Kuban, will embark on a truly unique experience that combines personal ambition and professional achievement. Just days before his 50th birthday, Chris will join the U.S. Navy’s exclusive Embark Program, taking him on an inspiring journey to witness naval operations firsthand aboard the U.S.S. Nimitz, one of the Navy’s most storied aircraft carriers.

This adventure comes with a unique historical parallel: the U.S.S. Nimitz itself turns 50 next year. As Chris heads to the Pacific Ocean to experience life at sea, he’ll also step into a rich legacy of dedication, service, and resilience—the very qualities that inspire him in his own work and life.

A National Honor and Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity

The U.S. Navy Embark Program, a rare honor extended only to select media, business leaders, and policymakers, offers participants a firsthand look at the Navy’s daily operations. Chris’s nomination came from a U.S. Navy Community Ambassador who recognized Chemistry PR’s pivotal role in coordinating Navy Week 2023 in St. Louis. This partnership underscored Chris’s – and our team’s – dedication to strengthening community connections and showcasing our military’s incredible service.

“Being nominated for the U.S. Navy Embark Program is an honor beyond words,” Chris shared. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that not only lets me cross something off my bucket list but allows me to witness the teamwork, discipline and commitment that go into maintaining such a powerful, global force.”

The Journey Begins: An Osprey Ride to the Nimitz

On October 8, Chris will begin his journey from the Coronado Naval Base in California, where he’ll board a Boeing V-22 Osprey bound for the U.S.S. Nimitz in the Pacific Ocean. Over two days, Chris will experience life aboard one of the Navy’s oldest and largest nuclear-powered carriers, getting a rare, firsthand view of operations—from the hum of the flight deck to the ship’s intricate maintenance systems. He’ll witness the Navy’s dedication and precision, values that resonate deeply with our own mission at Chemistry PR & Multimedia.

Celebrating a 50th Birthday and the Nimitz Legacy

Chris’s 50th birthday and the Nimitz’s upcoming 50th anniversary lend a special significance to this journey. Launched in 1975, the Nimitz is a marvel of engineering and a symbol of strength, a fitting backdrop for Chris as he marks this personal milestone. Both Chris and the Nimitz have histories of resilience, adapting to change and pushing boundaries—a powerful reminder that the pursuit of excellence is a journey, not a destination.

Looking Forward: Stories and Reflections

Chris’s journey is more than a personal adventure; it’s a chance to bring back stories of courage, dedication and teamwork that align with Chemistry PR & Multimedia’s own values.

After his return, Chris will be available from October 10-12 for in-person, phone or Zoom interviews to share his insights into the U.S. Navy’s operations and the impact of this incredible experience.

Stay tuned as we share exclusive photos, videos and Chris’s reflections from this distinguished honor. We’re thrilled to celebrate this achievement with him and grateful for the opportunity to honor our nation’s service members by sharing this story with all of you.
