Chris Kuban to Keynote Nonprofit Marketers Network Luncheon
Chemistry PR and Multimedia is excited to announce that our founder and managing consultant, Chris Kuban, will present a session on TikTok at the next Nonprofit Marketers Network-St. Louis event. On November 8, Chris will aid marketing and communication professionals from the local nonprofit sector in “Understanding the Good, Bad and Very Ugly of TikTok.” The event will take place at Vue17 in Brentwood and registration is still open at the npmarketers-stl.org website.
What’s TikTok’s Good, Bad and Very Ugly?
TikTok is the latest trend to take social media by storm. It is the most downloaded app of recent years. It has earned the reputation as the site where teenagers performed dances and is quickly morphing into that of a platform where brands and businesses engage with target audiences of all ages through entertaining and educational content.
TikTok can have dangerous side, too. The algorithm seems to perpetuate certain types of content over others, and some of this content can cause destructive damage to organizations who are not prepared.
After Chris’s session with Nonprofit Marketers Network, audiences will understand more about the types of TikTok videos and why the algorithm perpetuates certain content over other types. Attendees will be able to identify potential crisis scenarios that can be created by content curators, and they’ll learn how to prepare, start a crisis plan and understand what immediate actions to take to slow the tsunami of issues being caused by TikTok.
