Spokesperson Services

Is Jerry Seinfeld Right about Public Speaking?

Does speaking in public make you nervous?
Afraid your fears and flaws might diminish your message or tank your reputation?

If so, you’re not alone. JERRY SEINFELD said, “At a funeral, most people would rather be in the casket than delivering the eulogy.
If you feel a little shaky about your speaking skills, be honest …

  • How, how much and how well do you prepare to speak?
  • How well do you analyze your audience – ages, occupations, levels of education, interests, political leanings, consumer behaviors, how much they already know about your topic?
  • Do you ever try to “wing it”?
  • Do you rely on your slides or notes and lose all eye contact?
  • How well do you pivot when asked a tough question? Have you witnessed or, worse, delivered a nightmare exchange with a mic in your hand and all eyes on you?

Chemistry has the formula for public-speaking success, including expert speakers, speechwriters and even a certified, international award-winning coach.

Think AI Will Save You When You Speak?
AI may generate your words, but it can’t make you deliver them well.

Maybe you think you have a knack for public speaking. Maybe you do, but most of us, no matter how skilled, could benefit from some frank finetuning. Topics with higher stakes or deeper emotions call for higher-level prep.

You may have the best proposal, best design, best solution, best product, but you risk losing the account or the bid or the project if you can’t present it as well as a lessor competitor can.

An architecture firm lost two multi-million-dollar projects in a row because their lead presenter had terrible flaws as a speaker, and no one helped him address them. They imagined their blueprints would speak for themselves. Nope.

If you worry or wonder where you stand in your quest for a standing ovation or a signed contract or a boost to your bottom line, consider this:

  • Maybe hiring a professional spokesperson would help … or …
  • Maybe an outside coach could prepare you better than you prepare yourselves … or …
  • Maybe you and your key spokespeople speak well but have gotten a little rusty?

How teachable are you? What does it cost your organization if you stand and deliver less than your best?

Either way, our team at Chemistry PR and Multimedia uses strategies and tactics learned firsthand as we’ve emceed hundreds of events, convened countless panel discussions, fielded thousands of interview questions and trained thousands of speakers since we started the company in 2009. We understand the importance of preparation, poise and relatability when anyone represents your brand.

About Us

Science + Artistry = Chemistry PR & Multimedia

By 2009, the lines between journalism, public relations, marketing, advertising and video production had blurred. Social media was morphing the way companies viewed traditional communications and, by extension, PR agencies. That rapidly changing landscape didn’t scare CHRIS KUBAN; it inspired him. He realized that helping organizations launch and amplify their brands required a new formula, one that combined artistry and science – new ways to tell stories – so he launched Chemistry PR & Multimedia.

Chris assembled a team of smart, accomplished communicators – consultants – who had great chemistry when they came together to strategize and launch big campaigns and great chemistry when Chris needed them to work in smaller groups or in short spurts to capture more-immediate opportunities for clients. The formula worked! For more than 16 years, clients have benefited from the visionary, collaborative, cameras-rolling, think-tank model that is Chemistry PR & Multimedia.

Small Business Monthly Magazine has consistently ranked Chemistry PR & Multimedia one of the Best PR Firms and Best Marketing Firms in St. Louis. In 2024, Chris expanded his network by purchasing USPR Network, an international alliance of PR Agencies with expertise to launch campaigns, amplify messages and solve problems. We may be based in St. Louis, but we get around!

Our relatively small company has produced big results for organizations from Los Angeles to New York and Tampa to Seattle – millions of positive impressions, hundreds of thousands of social media posts and impressions, thousands of hours of video coverage, hundreds of TV, radio and print ads and 3rd-party endorsements through strategic media relations. We have produced hundreds of high-profile media events nationwide.
