Chemistry PR & Multimedia, a St. Louis PR Agency Grows TikTok Following because they believe in practicing what we preach! We were founded on the premise that effective PR uses a mixture of marketing and communication channels – including all that social media has to offer. In that spirit, Chemistry PR has joined on TikTok! And we’ve challenged ourselves to learn, practice, and test out one of social media’s newest channels by producing 50 TikTok videos in 50 days. For 50 days, the team at Chemistry PR and Multimedia will share with their followers some insights, lessons learned, and helpful tricks of the PR trade. From showing off new equipment to sharing tips for building your brand, Chemistry PR’s 50 videos will provide an insider’s view of the industry.

In one of the first videos of this challenge, our owner, Chris Kuban, shares the R-PIE method of brand management – Research, Plan, Implement, and Evaluate. And that is precisely the goal of this experiment!

The team at Chemistry PR asked themselves, “Can TikTok, with its reputation as the social media channel where teenagers go to show off their dance moves, really be an effective medium for promoting a business and communicating with our audience of professionals?”

But we also know that more and more brands are finding success by engaging on TikTok. Whether it’s fashion brands, sports franchises, or even National Public Radio, it’s clear that TikTok is growing up and isn’t just for kids anymore! And as Facebook and Instagram lean more and more into videos and reels, it’s also clear that other, older social media channels are finding themselves needing to adapt and compete with TikTok before they get left behind.

So, first, we did our research to find out what works and what to avoid in videos meant for TikTok. Then, we plannedideas for content and developed topics that we believe will be of interest to our audience and potential clients. Right now, we’re in the middle of implementing our 50-day plan, and when it’s completed, we’ll look at the numbers and evaluate how we did.
