Taking the Lead – Virtually!

On Thursday, November 12th, Chris Kuban, President and Founder of Chemistry PR and Multimedia and President of the St Louis Chapter of PRSA, hosted the 25th virtual event for PRSA St. Louis within the last 7 months. Since taking the lead on the idea of bringing chapter events and meetings into the ‘virtual’ environment in May of this year, the webinar Series has evolved from a moderately attended idea to highly anticipated weekly series of events.

“My company (Chemistry) has picked up a lot of video production and virtual event business in 2020. When the Covid19 health crisis ramped up and businesses and organizations started doing more virtually, I started thinking about how I could help leverage our skills in video production and virtual technology to help keep our PRSA membership active and engaged. I just took the lead – virtually.” said Kuban.

Chris jumped right in and upgraded the technology needed to not only bring top-notch webinar topics to attendees, but also to help attendees seamlessly get registered for these events and keep an eye on upcoming webinars.

What started as an idea to bring relevant and educational content to St Louis chapter members has grown into a popular series of virtual events conducted at various times of the day. We have morning events, like Peter Shankman’s The Year of the Butterfly, lunchtime events, including the very well attended Understanding TikTok & Instagram Marketing Strategies (And Why You Need One) event and even more relaxed Happy Hour events designed for networking and often include cocktails and funny stories. Visit the PRSA St Louis You Tube channel to view more webinar replays.

4When Chemistry PR and Multimedia went into serious growth mode and moved from a home office to a building in historic Benton Park, workstations were added, a video production studio created, editing workstations, a robust server system and a fully equipped podcasting and recording studio also built. Chris’s vision was to step up not only his own marketing game, but to help his clients do the same. Now, Chemistry truly specializes in helping businesses and nonprofits with communication, marketing, event planning and more.

Covid changed corporate and organizational directions in 2020. However, it didn’t the vision for leadership and forward movement. In addition to the services Chemistry already offered, adding virtual event coordination and management felt like a perfect fit. It’s a great way to help businesses and organizations keep internal and external customers and supporters stay active and engaged as close to ‘normal’ as possible. It is fair to assume this virtual concept is going to become the new normal and the experts at Chemistry thrive on coming up with creative ways to accentuate the positive.
